Mmmmmm tasty!
Mmmmmm Tasty!
Ava loved the firewords buy the breeze off of the water was too much for our little fireworks, so we mostly watched everyone else blow up their money. We brought our piddly little sparklers and fountain cones home to enjoy later.

I didn't think I'd be able to capture this but I did!
We had an excellent time this day. We got down to the water about 4:00 and set up camp. We played in the boat, on the sand and danced to music with Ava. Later before dark we grilled burgers and dogs and popped firecrackers and just celebrated frienship and life. I am so thankful that we have found our way back to Bridge City and that here God has given me and my family great friends to share life with.
Shang ri La Botanical Gardens
Yes this post is late and happened back in April I think. But better late than never.
We went to Shang ri La gardens in Orange, TX on the day that they had an Earth Day Special. There were lots of things for the kids to do and make. They even had some ladies singing music that the kids could play home-made instruments to and sing. Ava had fun and I got some great pics.

Me and Mommy at the Beach
Ava and I went to the beach for the 1st time by ourselves. We had a good time sitting and playing in the sand. After I asked Ava if she wanted to go in the water, that was it. We had to go back and forth over and over. I really needed Daddy for about every other trip into the surf. Once I was getting the camera out of the car and I looked up and Ava was heading to the water. So I trailed her. She is so brave and I got some great pics.

THANK YOU TO MY AMY!
I have tried for about 2 or 3 weeks in between moving and school ending for the summer to get the following video and blog up and running. I finally broke down and called the "blogspert" for help. She was wonderful! In between keeping 3 boys learning singing and speaking parts and one kid pouring her water in her salad and a hubby and others in the back yard tearing up the patio and putting in a new one stopped to help a friend in need.
I have to admit, I don't consider myself to have a ton of friends but I can say that I have friends that I can always count on.
Thank you to Amy and my other friends who I know will always be there no matter what. (That means you too Mom!)
